ACCESSIBILITY
TUINS High School is located between Toyama city and
Takaoka city, and
students from 66 out of a total of 86 junior high schools in Toyama have
attended our school. Almost all regions within Toyama are represented by our
student population, with some students commuting even from outside Toyama.
MODES OF TRANSPORTATION
○CAR
By the old Route 8, turn at the Toyama Tandai (富山短大) intersection marked by
a green
pedestrian overpass. Coming from Toyama city passing Kureha, it will be a
right turn. It takes about 20 minutes from Toyama station. Coming from Takaoka city
passing Daimon and Kosugi, it will be a left turn. It takes about 25 minutes from
Takaoka
station.
By Route 8, turn at the Toyama Tandai Guchi (富山短大口) intersection marked by a
Shell
gas station. Coming from Toyama city, it will be a left turn. Coming from
Takaoka
city, it will be a right turn.
○TRAIN
Take the JR train until Kureha (呉羽) or Kosugi (小杉). Kureha is slightly
closer. Then, take
the bus (5min), bike (5min) or walk (15min) to school. Many students find it
convenient
to bike the remainder of the way from the train station.
○BUS
Before and
after school, special school buses are available that go directly to and
from
Toyama station, Iwase, Yatsuo and Taikoyama.
The Shinminato community bus shuttles between Shinminato station (east gate) to
Kureha
station, stopping in between at TUINS High School.
TOYAMA-TAKAOKA Bus Line: Get off at Toyama Tandai Mae (富山短大前). It should
take
about 25 minutes from Toyama station and 30 minutes from Takaoka station.
○BICYCLE
More than half of our students commute to school either entirely or
partially by bike. When
biking, please ride safely and abide by the rules of the road.
